Does anyone follow the hashtag #Workathomemom ?
That's me. That's a lot of what I post.
The glamorous life of being a writer who works at home. My kids are in preschool until 1:30 (until 2:30 if I pay an extra $7 a day), but basically that is my time to do everything: write, clean, eat, etc.
Want to know my daily schedule? It's really glamorous.
You're getting it anyway.
5:30 AM - Alarm goes off, I roll over, husband goes for a boob squeeze and I yelp, getting out of bed.
All before 6 AM - Feed the dog, let the dog outside, put kids lunches and book bags in the car, fill water bottles, put husband's lunch and laptop in the car. Start his car. Make coffee. Put husband's coffee in the car. Get more boob grabs.
6 AM - Pour myself coffee and then have two kids stumble into the kitchen.
Make breakfast. Feed kids. Get kids dressed. Idly check Facebook. Break up 12 fights.
8:30 AM - Leave for school, drop kids off, deal with a crying mess.
9:30- Back home. Start dinner in the crockpot. Clean while listening to an audio book.
11 - Stop cleaning, pull a burrito in a jar out of the fridge, eat while scrolling Facebook.
11:30 - Put on Criminal Minds and write until it's time to pick up the kids.
2- Leave to pick up the kids, get them in the car, youngest falls asleep. Put youngest in bed, do crafts with the oldest.
4- Husband gets home, starts snacking on everything while he see's that dinner is in the crockpot.
5- Eat dinner (because we're old)
5:30 - Clean up dinner, brush teeth, make lunches for the next day.
6:30- Bath for the kids, pick up toys.
7:00- Watch a movie or TV show with kids on our laps.
8:00- Put kids to bed, I try and write, get poked a lot with husband's peen.
9- Passed out.
I know my life is glamorous. But in the time I do write, I use it. I use it well, trying to get 5K a day. This isn't my every day, but pretty darm close.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho It's off to work I go
So...my daughter is 2 months old now, which means that I have to go back to work *sad face*
It was hard to keep up with writing, reviewing, and this blog while staring at this cute face all day, but hopefully I can get some time on my lunch hour to get time in for everything. If I don't...er...I'll just randomly post pictures of Olivia on the blog and you can all stare and go 'awwwww' how is that?
Okay, no seriously. Working on a new project and I have three reviews to get posted this summer, so really I will do that.
Now the real question...how the heck do all of you with so much on your plate find the time to get everything done? Tips are always appreciated!

Upcoming Hiatus
There comes a time in every person's life in which they realize that they have a lot on their plate and one of those things may need to be put on hold...
This week I am 38 weeks pregnant, and for those of you that don't know, 37 weeks is full-term and 40 weeks is when you have the due date. So basically I can go at any time and I hope that it's sooner rather than later. As much as I'd love to be one of those people that tweets and blogs every detail of labor and delivery (NOT...*vom* sorry I think it's weird when people do that. If you are one of those people, I apologize. But it's not my thing.), I've realized that could take up some of my time as well as caring for a newborn. So when that does happen this blog definitely won't be updated as frequently for awhile.
As if having a child wasn't enough I also decided to add a few more things to my bag of tricks...
If you've noticed on my blog and Twitter, it doesn't say 'office drone by day' anymore. Yes, after 2 years of being in a support position I have accepted a new role in my same company, but it's definitely a step up. I do Claims work for a major insurance company. I won't say which one, but I can tell you that I do believe that we have the best commercials. I start that new position as soon as I come back from maternity leave, so it's going to be a pretty busy summer.
I guess you all read this blog to hear about my writing as well...and you probably want to hear something about HOW TO DATE AN ALIEN. Well right now it is in the hands of a WONDERFUL agent, I won't say who, but she's pretty awesome, and if anything comes up that is spectacular about this manuscript (agent, book deal, it catches on fire) then I will be sure to let you all know...maybe do a contest (okay there WILL be a contest when I get an agent and it will be epic).
So that's all for now. Basically there will be an upcoming hiatus and I probably wont be blogging as much, but I'm trying! I'm *hoping* for another Fangirl Friday this month and this Wednesday I do have my comparassion of the Kindle and Ipad. So stay tuned and expect some great announcements this summer.
