Chocolate Chip Gooey Butter Cookies

To celebrate Karen G's Labor Day BBQ.  Not only am I participating, but I thought that I should share the recipe to my famous Chocolate Chip Gooey Butter Cookies that I am bringing to the BBQ.

Trust me you will love them!

And while your here, you can check out my blog, or go visit some of my fellow campaigners blogs!  I'll finally be catching up and visiting everyone's blogs this weekend.  Oh and I'm also going to have lunch with the FABULOUS GP Ching

So have a great holiday weekend and maybe make some cookies for yourself :)

*1 stick butter
*1/4 tsp vanilla
*1 egg
*1 eight oz cream cheese
*1 box butter cake mix
*powdered sugar
*1 bag chocolate chips

-Beat vanilla, eg, cream cheese, and vanilla until light and fluffy.  Mix in dry cake mix and chocolate chips, then chill in fridge for atleast thirty minutes.

-Roll into balls (about golf ball size or a little smaller, I usually place them on a sheet and make all of the balls first) and then drop into powdered sugar before placing on greased cookie sheet.

-Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.  Will make about 30-50 cookies.

Now I really want to eat some, droooollllll

  5. Just the name of the recipe is enough to make me gain 5 lbs. Will copy and save! And thanks for the shout-out about the BBQ! It would be so fun if everyone posted their recipes and then we could put together an annual recipe book. Cuz I don't have enough to do, but I love the idea! Maybe next year...

  9. Hi. Nice to meet ya here at Karen's shindig. Those cookies sound good . . . and a bit easier than the batch now dwindling on our kitchen table. Will definitely have to give 'em a try.

  10. Nice to meet you Magan. Great Grill party Karen is having and it is so much fun to hop around and meet new people. I would love to try your cookies but I am afraid some of the ingredients are a bit hard to get here in Norway. A very boring problem that I have had to deal with for some 20 odd years since moving here. You have a lovely blog and I hope you come and visit me soon too. Have a great week-end!

You should leave me a comment. It would probably make me smile and then I will probably comment back. Unless you are a spambot. Then I will probably just ignore you.
